Free Software Ventures started when Mark Jordan, Tony Semana and Paul Satran got together to start a company that would partner with entrepreneurs who have great software ideas and help them become successful. Free Software Ventures not only strives to produce quality software, we also take on some of the risk of software development.

In the software industry there are two main types of business. Businesses that build and sell a product or businesses that help other companies build a product and sell it (you always need to sell something). We have found that neither of these two business models worked for us.

We have found that neither of these two business models work for us. Therefore we have amalgamated the two types of businesses and come up with a hybrid.

We have software development and project management skills and we are looking to partner with those that have great product ideas and the skill and knowledge to market and sell those ideas. We do not charge for development costs (we are a venture capitalist firm that invests sweat equity) and you get a software development team that has a vested interest in the quality of your software and the success of your company.

We look forward to hearing all project ideas. Please contact us any time.
